Who is Obama?

The Liberal media tries to portray Obama as the long waited messiah, and any effort to dig up his past and report on any controversial story about him is labeled as racist, but who is Obama?
Obama is the man who attended the Trinity United Church of Christ and listened to the racist and unpatriotic Jeremiah Wright for 20 years!
He is the elitist liberal who called town people as angry clingers holding on to guns and God because they're disappointed the government's ignored them and that they haven't had jobs in 25 years. He is also who voted against extending the death penalty to include gang activity. If he can't stand up to urban terror how will he ever stand up to global terrorism?
And this is before we get to his socialist economic plans! but that's for another blog entry..

Liberal Arts is not an academic major!

Putting Liberal Arts in an equal level to Science and Engineering is an offense to all the hard working engineers and scientists, and would explain why we are graduating less and less scientists and engineers and lacking behind the rest of the world. For any nation to maintain superiority it needs scientists and engineers, needs them to innovate, to manufacture and to advance the standard of living of its people! If you study any economical breakthrough of any nation, it was accomplished through science and engineering, not by dancing and singing their way to prosperity.
Liberal Arts is composed of pointless stuff like Music, Psychology, Dance, Philosophy, Languages, Literature, Art and Drama! Good luck conquering the world with that! Good luck maintaining military and economic superiority with that!
Any country that wants to rule, economically or militarily, needs a strong innovative state-of- the-art  manufacturing industry. In the times of war and peace you need technology, to create jobs, attract minds and maintain your grip on the rest of the world.
If a nation has an advanced technology, that another nation needs, it literally is in control of the other nation, that will never be the case with Liberal Arts, and usually I don't tend to take anything 'Liberal' seriously.

Should politicians devote more time to Golf?

If any away of watch TV these days, you'll notice a serious problem. None of our nation's politicians play Golf anymore! or at least not on TV!! I can't recall when, if ever, was the last time I saw George W Bush playing Golf. The VP isn't any better, Dick Cheney instead of playing Golf goes hunting, and we know how that turned out to be!
The condition doesn't get any better with the candidates, I've never seen Hillary Clinton nor Barrack Obama playing Golf!
Dan Quayle remains one of the best American politician, he devoted enough time to Golf while still being a great VP.
Our politicians are letting us down and embarrassing us in front of the world by not devoting enough time to Golf! What do you think?

Dubya Tee Eff?! P0rn for the Blind??!!

A nonprofit organization is trying to make millions of the free preview p0rn sites accessible to blinds. Why? It is not like blinds have nothing better to do than listen to description of short 20s p0rn clips. Above that, of  all the online material p0rn is something you need to see and hear, how would hearing just do? I did listen to a simple, and it is as if you are listening to a story, it didn't really do anything for me, maybe I have been spoiled with vision, and thus can not envision (mind the pun) how it would be possible to enjoy porn based on hearing alone! More about them here.

An Inconvenient Truth vs. The Truth

Transcript from An Inconvenient Truth:
Of course when the oceans get warmer, that causes stronger storms. We have seen in the last couple of years, a lot of big hurricanes. Hurricanes Jean, Francis and Ivan were among them. In the same year we had that string of big hurricanes; we also set an all time record for tornadoes in the United States. Japan again didn’t get as much attention in our news media, but they set an all time record for typhoons.
Al Gore's 9/12/05 speech:
Two thousand scientists, in a hundred countries, engaged in the most elaborate, well organized scientific collaboration in the history of humankind, have produced long-since a consensus that we will face a string of terrible catastrophes unless we act to prepare ourselves and deal with the underlying causes of global warming. [applause] It is important to learn the lessons of what happens when scientific evidence and clear authoritative warnings are ignored in order to induce our leaders not to do it again and not to ignore the scientists again and not to leave us unprotected in the face of those threats that are facing us right now. [applause]

The Truth:
In 2006, no hurricanes landed in the United States. In 2007, there was one.
As far as tornadoes go, here are recent confirmed landings:
2003 - 464
2004 - 655
2005 - 169
2006 - 146
2007 - 196
“We found that although some decades were quieter and less damaging in the U.S. and others had more land-falling hurricanes and more damage, the economic costs of land-falling hurricanes have steadily increased over time,” said Chris Landsea, one of the researchers as well as the science and operations officer at NOAA’s National Hurricane Center in Miami. “There is nothing in the U.S. hurricane damage record that indicates global warming has caused a significant increase in destruction along our coasts.”

Englehart et al. gathered data on hurricanes in this region from the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Mexico’s Servicio Meteorológico Nacional, the Mazatlan Observatory, and the National Hurricane Center. In describing the graph below (Figure 1) of their compilation, they note “From this graph it is apparent that long-term TC frequency exhibits a significant (p = 0.05) negative trend (r = -0.30).” Folks, they are becoming less frequent, and the trend is highly statistically significant. They then present the data for early (May to July) and late season (August to November) hurricane activity and find that the downward trend is prominent in the August to November period. They comment that “The fact that a significant trend (p = 0.01) is evident only in the late season provides one (albeit indirect) indication that the apparent decrease in near-shore activity is not substantially conditioned by data and measurement issues.”
